UKL Projects were appointed as the fit-out contractor for a series of modular building complexes at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. The building will provide the offices and site welfare facilities required for the construction phase of the new nuclear power station.
UKL Projects worked closely with another modular client delivering the main modular accommodation building completed around the Hinkley Point nuclear site which will house all the temporary staff.
The vast workers’ village sets new standards in site facilities and is considered to be the largest hotel-style development in Europe for 25 years, equivalent to a 3-star hotel.
When completed in 2017/18, it provides 1,496 en-suite bedrooms across 44 buildings at two key locations.
The Bridgwater Campus is the larger of the two developments. UKL Projects played a crucial role in delivering the internal fit-out packages.
The new Modular school building for Tufnell Park Primary School, on Dalmeny Road, enables the school to double its capacity from 315 pupils to 630 pupils by 2025.
The new building features a bright and spacious interior with light wells reaching up to three floors in the main corridors; also, a double-height foyer with a glass-fronted library designed to give an impressive, inspirational feel to the entrance space.
This shows a brand new school that was installed and fitted out by UKL Projects during the coronavirus lockdown period. We worked within government guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic to install 168 individual modules making up the new school.
With precise and careful coordination, UKL Projects delivered Harthill Primary School by installing all modules, completing external works and the internal fit-out. The new building is situated on a restricted site with residential properties on all four sides of the school perimeter. In order for the school to remain open, the health and safety of all pupils and residents was a priority throughout this process. Due to precise and client centered organisation, minimal disruption was achieved.
